Intentional Advent Activities for Your Family

Family carrying a christmas tree

It is such a delight to start this blog series off during this cozy season of celebration.

As we honor the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we also make precious and priceless memories with our loved ones. In the midst of all the holiday craziness we receive gentle reminders of just how blessed we truly are. Sharing and creating beautiful moments that to us, may seem small but to our kiddos they are the foundation to traditions and family stories to look back on. What a comforting time!

I am so excited for the merry festivities to come this season. A season filled with warm food, warm hugs and hopefully a warm cup of cocoa to go along with it. I know during those quiet moments with our families it can be hard to figure out how to fill that space with intentional activities. Our kiddos are always looking for something to do and as a mom, I know that life gets BUSY! We may not have the time to think up an activity that’s fun, engaging and rooted in the Word of God. That’s where The Jesus Storybook Bible Advent Activity Book definitely comes in handy!

Each activity is a “happy reminder of God’s wonderful, never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love.” Inspired by Sally Lloyd-Jones, New York Times bestselling children’s book author, this Advent Activity book does all the planning and allows you to create and explore with your family. This Storybook is filled with all sorts of crafts, recipes, songs, games and more!

Like these deliciously cute Sheep Cupcakes!

Each activity has an accompanying story to read from in The Jesus Storybook Bible and the Bible verse where it all comes from. This Advent book checks all of the boxes - intentional, fun, engaging, and driven by the Word. What a great way to hold your little one’s hand along their journey to growing their faith in God while creating precious Christmas memories.
My prayer for your families this season is to make as many fun filled memories as possible.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
